My name is Megan Richardson - welcome to my page! Here is a little about my backround.


In May 2022 I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout with a major in interior design with a minor in sustainability. UW-Stout was rigorous, exciting, and challenging as I worked diligently on the theory, history and appication of Interior Design in residential as well as commercial spaces. Wherever my professional journey takes me, I will take my passion of sustianable design with me.


Utilizing today's most current softwares including Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office; I have created spaces that incorporate meaningful life-enhancing environments that I am truly proud of.

Past Positions

December 2022 - Present

Ace Hardware Coorporate - Store Planner

As a store planner, I am responsible for leveraging data-driven analytics to consult retailers and project management teams on developing store plans that deliver maximum productivity. I lead virtual meetingw and provide proper documentation for the overall store design, including architectural and fixture layouts, merchandise planning (category space allocation and category placement), lighting placement and electrical needs, and execution of signage/décor and location code plans for new stores and store projects (remodels, relocations, expansions, and consolidations). I am also the team lead for developing store front elevations using Photoshop and Revit to produce concept and comprehensive store elevations for our retailers and prospective retailers.

SAS Architects & Planners - Interior Designer

With a small team of two, I am heavily involved with all aspects of construction and design. Some of my responsibilities include space planning, concept design, working on Revit and AutoCAD, 3D Rendering, creating close relationships with reps, specifying architectual and other FF&E finishes and client presentations. I strive to design solutions that meet needs and budget concerns without compromising quality.

May 2021 - August 2021

Intern at Floors of Distinction

Floors of Distinction is a high end, design studio that specializes in custom flooring design. I was welcomed as a sales associate where my responsibilities included consultations, going to homes to measure spaces, and building quotes in RFMS. This position improved my application of flooring design as well as working directly with a client and taking into consideration their needs for the space.

Assistant Stager for Keller Williams - The Carrie Schmitz Team

The Carrie Schmitz Team is a realtor specializing in executive homes in the Twin Cities area. I was invitied to assist in staging one of their homes that was being put on the market. In this experience we transformed this space from an outdated home to a modern space that homeowners would be excited about.

Ashley Furniture - Job Shadow

Ashley Home Furniture, a residential furniture store, maintains a staff of interior designers that I was invited to experience with a job shadow opportunity. Hillary Sonnentag was gracious enough to involve me in their weekly meeting, as well as introduce me to the companies industrial designers, accountants, to educate me on how each part of the company relates and works with each other.
